Over the years, I’ve met some really impressive people. And after the exit of the company I was a partner at, I finally had an opportunity to put some small investments in things I believe will be successful.

I’m not the biggest fan of social media. That said, some really cool things have come from it. One of the things I have a mild interest in is Crowd Funding. Providing and opportunity to those less experienced, or non-conventional to still make a run at being successful.

Are these opportunities all going to pan out? Of course not. But it’s still fun and feels good to help out. Check out some of my crowd funded investments here.

I’ve always enjoyed fast and cool cars. Like most boys born in the 70s, I had that same Lamborghini poster on the wall as tens of thousands of others. And while I still haven’t been successful enough to have my own roadster, I still have a fine appreciation for awesome automobile engineering, and try to keep a nice ride in my garage. Yup, I’m a nerd. Or a geek. I am not sure the difference. I am not even sure that those are disparaging terms anymore. I think technology makes life easier, more efficient, and is just plain fascinating. I used to love to take things apart just to see how they work, but nowadays everything is just a circuit board, so I am likely to void the warranty. The hardest thing about my career is making sure that I still am a present (and hopefully great) father to my daughter. I’ve a lovely, smart wife, a crazy dog that everyone wants to hug, and a sharp sarcastic kid. Privacy is important to us, so only a few pictures for you nosey people.

I love dogs. I currently have only one (wife will not let me have more). But he’s about 110 lbs, so he’s like 2 dogs. See Bernie here.

I grew up in the rural suburbs of Philadelphia. That same area is pretty dense now, but I still love being outside, preferably in the quiet of the woods. I was a Boy Scout as a kid, and made Eagle Scout by the time I was 15. My dad pushed me hard with it, but I did love nature and know my knots. I do own a small plot of trees and some creekside now, but I want a lot more!
